The second AQUARIUS Funding Call is looking for applications that contribute to one or more of the scientific challenges of the EU Mission Ocean and Waters regions. An overview of the cross-cutting topics and scientific challenges that are the focus of the 2nd TA call are listed in the Guidelines for Applicants (see TAP library) and the AQUARIUS website. The scientific and societal challenges of the AQUARIUS calls can be found in deliverable 3.1 and deliverable 3.3. Applications are requested to focus on one or more of the challenges listed in the Guidelines for Applicants and take place in at least one of the Mission Ocean key regions such as the Baltic, North Sea, Black Sea, Atlantic/Arctic, and Mediterranean, along with their associated river systems. Applications that include challenges and regions from several regions are welcome.
The portal for the submission of applications will be closed at 23:59 CEST on the closing date of the call. Applications received after the closing date and time of the call will not be considered.
The following attachments must be included with the application (preferably as unprotected PDF):
- 1) Research plan (max. 10 pages)
- 2) Curriculum Vitae of the TA user group leader (max. 2 pages)
- 3) Initial Data Management Plan (DMP; not part of the scientific evaluation)
- 4) Recommendation letter (only user group leaders such as PhD students)
- 5) Optional: Letter of Recommendation for applicants without a PhD
