ZeroPM is pleased to invite masters and PhD students with a basic knowledge of PFAS to this summer school. The summer school will focus on topics including:
- An overview of the chemical properties of PFAS
- Current and future legislation that affect PFAS management practices
- Environmental and human health effects of PFAS
- Conventional and innovative analytical methods for PFAS, including TFA
- The role big data approaches can play in classifying the PFAS universe
- The remediation of drinking water
- The remediation of sewage sludge
In addition, there will be the opportunity to take part in field and lab work looking at the deployment and analysis of PFAS. The final day of the summer school will consist of a trip to two pilot plants treating contaminated sewage sludge and domestic wastewater.
