Victoria University of Wellington are excited to announce that registration for the 16th International Coral Reef Symposium (ICRS), to be held in Auckland, New Zealand is now open!
This symposium will represent an important forum to highlight the plight of world?s coral reefs, including those across Oceania, and discuss management solutions with global applicability.
Early bird registration rates are available and close 11.59PM Sunday 24 May 2026 New Zealand Time. From Monday 25 May, standard registration fees will apply.
We encourage you to take advantage of the early bird rates and join us in Aotearoa New Zealand for this vital global gathering of coral reef researchers, practitioners, and advocates.

Other Meetings
Expressions of interest for Other Meetings to be held as part of the Symposium are also open now. If you are interested in facilitating a meeting that sits outside the main Symposium programme but within the Symposium dates (19 – 24 July 2026), please complete the form linked below.
Rooms within the venue will be allocated for approved meetings; however, all associated costs such as AV, catering, and materials will be the responsibility of the organiser. Notifications of meeting allocations will be circulated in due course.
