In this edition of the ECOP Wednesdays event series, hosted by the EMB Young Ambassadors and the EMB Secretariat for the EMB ECOP network, Sara Mohamed, a marine scientist at the Málaga centre of the Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO-CSIC), Spain, will speak about “Unravelling Marine Food Webs: From Trophic Ecology to Ecosystem-Based Management“.
This webinar will explore how marine food webs are studied to better understand ecosystem functioning, with a focus on trophic ecology approaches such as stable isotope analysis and trophic indicators. It will also highlight how this knowledge is applied in the context of ecosystem-based management, contributing to scientific advice and the implementation of marine policies. Find out more here.
