The Government and Expert Review of the Special Report on Climate Change and Cities Second order Draft (SOD) will take place from 8 May to 3 July 2026. It is a key element of the IPCC assessment process. The purpose of this review is to help ensure that the report provides a balanced and comprehensive assessment of the latest scientific findings.
All experts who contributed comments on the First Order Draft (FOD) will be notified separately about the review of the SOD, soliciting their participation again in the review process. IPCC observer organizations are invited again to encourage additional experts to participate as Expert Reviewers for the Special Report on Climate Change and Cities SOD.
