The LIFE-MAPPER initiative, which aims to support EU Member States in implementing the Nature Restoration Regulation (NRR), the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD), and the Habitats Directive by developing harmonised guidelines for marine habitat mapping, condition assessment, and restoration planning, is seeking experts to contribute their knowledge on marine habitat mapping in a questionnaire.
The initiative has been conceived to complement and capitalize on the effort carried out by BioAgora which is focusing on gaps in mapping and in the definition of the condition of the habitats listed in the NRR.
This questionnaire is thus designed to gather expert knowledge on:
1) the methods and indicators used for habitat condition assessment
2) the existence of reference conditions and thresholds.
Find out more here and fill out the questionnaire.
