The European Commission has opened both the call for evidence and the public consultation as part of the process to update the EU Arctic policy. This update is necessary to maintain the policy relevant and effective in addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities in the Arctic. The initiative follows the announcement by the President of the European Commission to review the EU Arctic policy to ensure it is fit to address current and future challenges.
