The documentary Women from the Sea – Azores weill be screened in Brussels on 14 January 2026, from 17:30-19:30 CET. This event is part of the international project “Women from the Sea”, which brings together more than 900 women from 30 countries who work in ocean-related fields, from science, fisheries, and conservation to the arts and education. The documentary produced by the Portuguese NGO Help Images, highlights 71 women from all nine islands of the Azorean archipelago. Following the screening, they will host a panel discussion “The role of women in fisheries, ocean sustainability and coastal communities”, which will explore the role of women in fisheries, ocean sustainability, coastal communities and outermost regions.
