Since its launch under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Teaming Programme, the CMMI MaRITeC-X project has represented a transformative journey for Cyprus and its Blue economy, enabling the establishment and growth of the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) as an emerging Centre of Excellence serving Cyprus, the wider Mediterranean region, Europe and beyond. CMMI MaRITeC-X has contributed to the development of cutting-edge research and innovation capabilities, advanced infrastructure, highly skilled human capital, international collaborations and impactful solutions addressing key challenges and opportunities of the sustainable blue economy.
This Legacy Celebration will provide an opportunity to reflect on this journey, recognise the contributions of our partners and stakeholders, showcase the achievements and impact of CMMI, and present their vision for the years ahead.
