Watch the recording: MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) will hold an information session dedicated to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships Call , which is open until September 10, 2025. Given the highly international nature of this funding instrument, the session will be held in English.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships aim to fund a postdoctoral project in any area of knowledge, and the application is submitted jointly by the proposing researcher and a host institution. To be eligible, researchers must comply with a mobility rule, i.e. they must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the closing date of the Call. In addition, they must not have completed their doctorate more than eight years before the closing date of the Call (there are some exceptions, periods that do not count towards this eight-year limit, such as maternity and time away from research).

FCT is responsible for promoting the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Portugal, holding regular information sessions and proposal writing workshops. It is also responsible for representing Portugal on the Configuration Committee of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Program at the European Union.

Update: The session held on May 26 was attended by 344 people, with strong interest from the community. The video recording is available for viewing, as are the slides from the presentation.
