National Charts on Ocean Observing and Monitoring in Germany and Greece are now available!

The National Charts, developed by JPI Oceans, detail the responsibilities and processes of in-situ Ocean observation and monitoring in Greece and Germany, including the related downstream data flows. They provide a foundation for improved coordination, gap identification, and best practice sharing. This effort supports the EOOS Roadmap 2023-2027 to enhance policy coordination, secure funding, and streamline data contributions to databases.

These charts are an outcome of the work of the EOOS Resource Forum. Their goal is to address gaps in knowledge of national Ocean observing systems, a fundamental obstacle for coordination efficiency, streamlining efforts and abatement of deficiencies.
