The final event of the Horizon Europe project SYMBIOREM (Symbiotic, circular bioremediation systems and biotechnology solutions for improved environmental, economic and social sustainability in pollution control) will bring together a wide range of stakeholders active in the environmental biotechnology and bioremediation sector. Researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and NGOs representatives will gather to discuss the results and the future potential of the SYMBIOREM project.
Partners will highlight the performance of bioremediation technologies tested across SYMBIOREM demonstration sites, their upscaling potential and future applications, as well as their environmental, economic, and social impacts. Discussions will also address the policy implications of the project findings, their contribution to the progress of the environmental biotechnology sector, and the role of nature-based solutions in supporting ecosystem restoration, resource recovery, and the transition towards a sustainable circular economy.
