The 11th Our Ocean Conference has concluded in Mombasa, Kenya, with more than 100 governments, businesses and civil society organisations announcing 320 commitments worth $6.4 billion for ocean conservation, sustainable fisheries, climate resilience and blue economy development. Major pledges included $1 billion from the World Bank, $682 million from Canada and new protections for French Polynesia’s marine protected areas.
