The Azores Symposium on Advances in Ocean Observation is an in-person retreat-like event which brings together thought leaders from the US and Europe in Physical and Biological Oceanography along with technologists in autonomous systems, AI and Machine Learning to work through novel and interdisciplinary concepts for upper water-column exploration. The concept is to flush out ideas in a safe, constructive, deliberative and interactive manner. In other words, this event is not just for talks, but aimed towards constructive engagement and networking.

They invite candidates for 3 competitively selected Early Stage Researcher (ESR) positions to attend this event for 4 full days with all expenses paid inclusive of travel, room and board. Candidates can be from any part of the world, but must meet specific requirements. You can find out more by clicking here, the deadline for submission is 28 February 2022.
