This year, the AVISO+ service is starting to assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) to the datasets and products in its catalogue.
The objectives of this change are to enable concise, accurate and reliable referencing as well as an estimation of the importance given to the datasets by users.
The first three DOIs were assigned to:
ï‚· the gridded sea-level heights in the Arctic Ocean,
ï‚· the altimetry data simulation along-track nadir and wide-swath altimeter SSH products performed with the SWOTsimulator,
ï‚· the climate indicators of ocean heat content and Earth energy imbalance.
More DOIs to come in 2021.
