OASIS workshop for A Predicted Ocean – 16 & 17 September 2021

The Observing Air-Sea Interactions Strategy  (OASIS)  is a United Nations (UN) Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development programme, led by the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) Working Group #162. It is a community working to harmonize observational strategies and develop a practical, integrated approach to observing air-sea interactions through capacity development, leveraging of multi-disciplinary activities, and advancement of understanding

OASIS for A Predicted Ocean, a UN Decade Laboratory Satellite Event, will be held virtually during two identical one-hour sessions at the following dates and times:

Thursday 16 September at 1400 – 1500 UTC/ 1600-1700 CET
Thursday 16 September at 2300 – midnight UTC/ Friday 17 September at 0100-0200 CET
The sessions will each be preceded and followed by 1-hour poster/social sessions.

This online workshop will bring the air-sea observation community together to discuss how we can contribute to OASIS themes and make OASIS goals a reality. The Satellite Event will encourage brainstorming and collaborations using short pre-recorded talks combined with highly interactive online tools.
