Some of the major tasks of the role will include developing, maintaining and managing the mARS database, harvesting of data in public repositories, and ensuring quality control of the data. Candidates must hold a PhD or Masters in science or applied sciences with preference given to those with a background in bioinformatics or Antarctic microbial biology. Candidates must have excellent command of the English language, with additional languages, particularly Dutch and French, being a significant advantage.
