Two PhD scholarships in coral cell biology at VUW

Two PhD scholarships are available to study the cellular basis of inter-partner communication in the coral-algal symbiosis and the adaptive capacity of reef corals to climate change at Victoria University of Wellington in Wellington, New Zealand. The students’ projects will contribute to a larger three-year project funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand Marsden Fund. Students will be supervised by Prof. Simon Davy and Dr. Clint Oakley of Victoria University of Wellington, with input from collaborators Prof. Virginia Weis (Oregon State University), Prof. Arthur Grossman (Stanford University) and Assoc.
