we currently advertising for a Post-Doc position (up to 4 years) in the
Geobiology and Anthropocene Research Group at Freie Universit?t Berlin,
Institute of Geological Sciences.
Research position with fair amount of freedom, preferably in recent
and/or Holocene/Pleistocene reefs, working in marine geochemistry,
anthropogenic climate change, carbonate sedimentology, palaeoclimate,
and palaeontology. Moderate teaching load (4 hours/week), supervision of
students possible, solicitation of external (third-party) funding
absolutely necessary.

Job description:
Collaboration in research and teaching in the field of palaeontology
Scientific research on topics related to recent marine ecosystems,
natural and anthropogenic environmental and climate changes, preferably
in the fields of carbonate sedimentology, reef research, palaeoecology,
palaeoenvironmental and climate research.
Solicitation of external (third-party) funding
Leading one’s own research projects
Publication of new scientific results
The position is suitable for the post-doc to fulfil their Habilitation.
Requirements:
Completed scientific University degree and doctorate in geosciences or
biosciences
Desirable:
Expertise in the field, as evidenced by relevant scientific publications
Experience in and suitability for fieldwork in tropical marine and
coastal areas (e.g. snorkelling, diving); capacity to work independently
as well as excellent teamworking skills.
very good knowledge of English
