SECOND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
ARABIAN CORAL REEFS CONFERENCE
11-13 Nov. 2019 at New York University Abu Dhabi
Deadline for Abstract Submission: 15 April 2019 (six weeks away)
You are invited to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the “Arabian Coral Reefs: Insights from Extremes” conference, to be held from November 11-13, 2019 at New York University Abu Dhabi.
The purpose of this conference is to bring together leading regional and international coral reef scientists to discuss recent research, and to open opportunities for dialogue and collaboration among participants. The geographic scope of this conference includes the Persian/Arabian Gulf, the northwestern Indian Ocean (Arabian Sea, Sea of Oman), and the Red Sea. This
three day conference will include themed symposium sessions, each opened by a keynote address from a renowned expert in the field. Themed topics will include biogeography and evolution, coral community structure and dynamics, reef fish community structure and dynamics, molecular ecology and physiology, biophysical processes, as well as a session on reef conservation and management.
This conference is being supported by the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute, the research wing of New York University Abu Dhabi. Travel support grants are available to provide flights and accommodations for presenters; requests for support can be made during the abstract submission process. Decisions on acceptance and funding will be based on abstract quality and relevance
to the conference topic and geographic scope.

Registrants will be notified of decisions on their submission by 30 June 2019. Presentation guidelines and decisions regarding funding support will accompany decision letters.
