I would like to share with your this training opportunity in large-scale coral reef restoration for marine conservation leaders from countries in the Western Indian Ocean.
Corales de Paz, the Noble Caledonia Charitable Trust, and Nature Seychelles are inviting leaders from the WIO region to apply for its Leaders in Coral Reef Restoration Training Workshop, to be held at the Reef Rescuers Centre for Ocean Restoration Awareness & Learning (CORAL) in Praslin Island (Seychelles) between 1 – 10 June 2019.
The purpose of the training is to provide hands-on, in-water experience on large-scale coral reef restoration using the coral reef gardening concept to coral reef conservation leaders from countries in the WIO region. Before attending the workshop in the Seychelles, participants will be  required to complete an online course in coral reef restoration presented by The Nature Conservancy’s Reef Resilience Network.
Only six (6) applicants from the WIO region will be invited to attend this free workshop. Travel expenses to and from Seychelles will be covered.
