The University of Leicester (UK) is offering a fully funded PhD stipend (3.5 years) with generous research and training grant to conduct research in Coral Palaeoclimatology of the western Indian Ocean. Unique coral cores of exceptional length will be made available and new fieldwork is planned in Madagascar. If you are keen in studies of geochemistry, climate change, oceanography, how corals cope with thermal stress, and when you have skills in statistical data analysis, it might be something for you.
