The Lasker lab at the University at Buffalo is looking for a postdoctoral research associate for a one year position to develop a population model of the Caribbean gorgonian/Antillogorgia elisabethae/.
We are developing a model that can be used as a management tool for ongoing harvests of the species in The Bahamas. The data to parameterize the model are mostly in hand, and fieldwork is not an expected component of the post-doc?s work. Applicants should have a demonstrated background in developing population models preferablyIBMand/orIPMmodels and generating an interface that makes the model accessible to non-experts. Familiarity with the ecology of colonial marine invertebrates while desirable is not required.
Applicants should apply using UBJobs at http://www.ubjobs.buffalo.edu/postings/23963. The position will remain open until filled.
As an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer, the Research Foundation will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant?s race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender
identity, national origin and veteran or disability status.
