Call for applications for individual fellowships

In 2020 as in the previous 3 years, instead of directly funding Capacity Building and Training activities, EuroMarine will grant individual fellowships to let EuroMarine PhD students and scholars in their first post-doctoral position attend an advanced course of their choice. This year, EuroMarine has expanded the eligible courses to include both training courses and workshops (including EuroMarine foresight workshops). Applicants will be expected to describe how their selected course or workshop will benefit their career and research development.

  • Individual fellowships (500 €; PhD students and scholars in their first post-doctorate)

Applicants must either belong to a EuroMarine Full Member Organisation or to one of EuroMarine Invited Member Organisations in Morocco, Peru, South Africa, Tunisia, or Turkey (please refer to the membership list).
The courses targeted by the applicants must run and be completed between 1 June and 30 November 2020.
Proposals will be assessed by the EuroMarine early career researcher group OYSTER.
Funding will be subject to official acceptance onto the course, and will be granted by EuroMarine and OYSTER through AquaTT or the EuroMarine Association.

Timeline (exact dates to follow):

  • 1 April: Call opens
  • 30 April: Deadline for submissions
  • May: Results announced
