Applications are open for the CIIMAR Blue Young Talent plus (BYTplus) scholarships. BYTplus is a postgraduate program for attracting talent in the field of marine and environmental sciences and biotechnologies, in partnership with industry and SMEs. This program aims to provide a postgraduate training in a scientific environment of excellence to the best first cycle students selected for a master’s degree at a Portuguese university. To the selected candidates it will be given a fellowship during 10 months to complete their master’s dissertation integrated in a research team of CIIMAR, in the areas of marine biotechnology, global changes and ecosystem services, conservation, aquaculture and nutrition.
 Young talents will be involved in a stimulating scientific environment and will have the opportunity to participate in a set of postgraduate enrichment activities that enhance scientific excellence as well as entrepreneurship in the area of the sea and their insertion in the job market. The program will end with a public presentation of the work developed and the award of a prize to the best master’s project. The prize will provide the dissemination of the work to the scientific and/or business community, through participation in an international congress, or participation in courses and advanced training workshops.
