You are cordially invited  to the 3rd Blue Planet Symposium, which will be held in College Park, MD, USA, May 31-June 2, 2017. The Symposium will serve as a forum for discussion of societal information needs resulting from the important role the oceans play in Earth’s life-support system and the challenge of minimizing the impacts of human activities on the oceans while utilizing the resources of the oceans to meet our needs.

Registration and Abstracts

Registration is now open! A registration fee of $100 will cover lunch and refreshments.

The registration deadline is April 28, 2017. Click here to register.

Abstracts for the symposium poster session are now being accepted.

The deadline to submit an abstract is March 15, 2017. Click here to submit an abstract.

Community Input

GEO Blue Planet requests community input on ocean observing capabilities and user information needs related to the Blue Planet symposium sessions. All interested parties (including those who are unable to attend the symposium) are encouraged to submit input on these topics.

Submissions received by April 15, 2017 will be used for symposium preparation and shared on the symposium website.

Contributions can be submitted on our website.
