Register and submit an abstract

Organised by GEO BLUE PLANET and MERCATOR OCEAN, operator of the Copernicus Marine Service of the European Union, the 4th GEO BLUE PLANET International Symposium will serve as a forum for discussion of ocean and coastal information needs for sustainable development, Blue Growth and societal awareness. The symposium will bring together producers from all over the world of ocean and coastal information and current and potential users of ocean and coastal information, who will share their experience with the audience.

The 4th GEO BLUE PLANET SYMPOSIUM will be held in Europe for the first time and will take place July 4 – 6, 2018, just prior to the 8th edition of the European Open Science Forum (ESOF 2018).

Symposium Location

The symposium will take place in the City of Toulouse, France just prior to the 8th edition of the EuroScience Open Forum. The city of Toulouse is also the place of Mercator Ocean, member of the GEO Blue Planet Initiative and entrusted by the European Commission to operate the EU Copernicus Marine Service.  This makes the city an ideal location for the first GEO Blue Planet Symposium in Europe.
