The advanced school is going to represent an annual recurrence for PhD students, researchers and policy-makers to learn about models specifically developed for multispecies approaches and how to use them.
Topics covered for each methodology will include data requirements, how to deal with data deficiencies, practical application and how these models can provide practical scientific advice to policy and management.
As the classes will be conducted in English, participants should have an adequate working knowledge of that language as well deep interest and understanding of fishing and biological processes. Skills required is also the experience in some modelling or use of programming code in general, plus eventually some experience with particular programming language according with the tool to be implemented.
