Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track, Biology (Ecology)

Job Summary
The Department of Biology at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in the field of ecology to begin August 2017.

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be dedicated to excellence in undergraduate teaching and will be expected to teach General Biology, upper division courses in ecology and evolution, and other courses in specific areas of academic expertise. The candidate should be committed to involving undergraduates in an independent research program and will be expected to apply for extramural funding for support. A strong record of teaching at the university level and an understanding of and commitment to support the mission of the University of San Francisco are required.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requirements
We are interested in candidates with expertise in any level of ecology, particularly those who include field and experimental approaches in their research. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline, teaching experience, post-doctoral experience, and evidence of research skills and scholarship.
