This international symposium on marine sciences, blue business and society is a joint initiative of three EC-funded projects: BluePharmTrain, Atlas and SponGES to bring together major scientific, industrial and societal stakeholders in blue biotechnology because effective transfer of novel discoveries in marine biotechnology can greatly improve Europe’s capacity to address the needs of the society of the future and to generate new commercial opportunities.
