Organisation overview

Blue Ventures works with coastal communities to develop transformative approaches for nurturing and sustaining locally led marine conservation. We’re committed to protecting marine biodiversity in ways that benefit coastal people. We work in places where the ocean is vital to local cultures and economies, and where there is a fundamental unmet need to support human development.

Through our marine conservation expeditions, volunteers from around the world join us on career breaks, student gap years and internships, working closely with our field research teams, in partnership with local communities.
