This GLOBAQUA course will introduce the basic principles behind isotopic and chemical tracer modelling. Of all the methods used to model hydrological processes in small watersheds, tracers (isotopic and chemical) have provided the best new insights into the age, origin and pathway of water movement. Sampling will be organised at two locations on the Sava River in Slovenia, and training will be provided with sample preparation, and the use of Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry.

The training course is designed for researchers (master, doctoral and postdoctoral level) and other scientists interested in the use of stable isotopes and other tracers in hydrological studies. For the programme and further information on how to apply see the course flyer.
