We are pleased to announce that the SOLAS Nodal Project Office based at the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (MEL) of Xiamen University, Xiamen, China will be elevated into a full International Project Office (IPO) in January 2021, and led by the Deputy Executive Director of the SOLAS IPO, Dr. Li Li. The dual IPOs of SOLAS will fulfill separate responsibilities; meanwhile they will closely collaborate and provide mutual support on major SOLAS tasks.
We sincerely thank MEL for hosting the IPO-China and we are looking forward to working with MEL to promote SOLAS science in the coming Ocean Decade.
