Marine Plastics Research Group, Marine Biodiversity and Environmental Assessment Research Center (BioEnv) (Director: Katsunori Fujikura), Research Institute for Global Change (RIGC), Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) is recruiting applications for two tenure-track research positions focused on marine plastics.
Our group works to understand the extent of marine plastic pollution from the sea surface to the deep sea and assesses marine ecosystem impacts using multiple approaches: shipboard observation, laboratory experiments, and innovative sampling and measurement systems. We also collaborate with multiple sectors to develop research.
