As part of the expansion of our European business operations, we are looking for experienced Senior Consultants to join our EU environment policy team, either in Brussels (BE) or in Rotterdam (NL). The successful applicants will support the cluster manager in further expanding Trinomics’ project portfolio in European and international environment policy development and assessments in the areas of:
       Natural Capital (biodiversity and ecosystems, land use and forests, management of natural resources);
       Environment (waste, air quality and pollution, water protection and management, industry, chemicals and safety).

Profile of the candidate
We are looking for candidates with a rigorous background in and knowledge of European environment policies and practices, strong analytical capacity, an eye for detail, the willingness to go that extra mile if necessary, and a desire to operate in multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Required
       Completed MSc degree in Environmental or Natural Sciences or Engineering, Economics, Sustainable Development or a related discipline;
       At least 8-10 years of relevant professional work experience, with at least 5 years in public policy research and consultancy, including proposal development, project management, research, analysis and advisory;
       In-depth knowledge of the relevant strategies, policies and policy instruments in the areas of EU environment policies (listed above) is expected and should be demonstrated via previous employment experience and/or consultancy assignments. Interest to work on a wide range of EU climate policy issues within these domains is required;
       Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of consultancy projects, including experience working on policy studies, evaluations and EU Impact Assessments. Familiarity with the EU Better Regulation guidelines is a plus;
       Demonstrated experience in carrying out pro-active business development and acquisition in the required areas of expertise, together with a good network of established contacts within the EU environment policy community;
       Knowledge of the Dutch context in the field of environment policies is considered a plus;
       Ability to work, write and communicate fluently in English. Ability to work in additional languages (particularly Dutch, but also French, German or other EU languages) are also considered as an advantage;
       Eligible to work in the European Union (EU).
