Due to the on-going success and growth of our business, we are looking to recruit two Marine Ecologists into our Newcastle office (NE15 0NY).

Reporting into the Senior Marine Consultant, you will be responsible for providing marine ecology and Licence compliance services to clients. The Marine Consultant will be responsible for the delivery of technical reports, survey work, and project management, supporting other members of the team or business as required.

A selection of duties and responsibilities include:
Contribute to Marine Licence compliance documents, including Construction Environmental Management Plans/EMPs and associated documentation;
Contribute to licence variation applications and licence returns;
Contribute to various technical reports and various assessments;
Prepare Health, Safety, and Environmental documentation;
Undertake survey work and data analysis as required for projects;
Liaise with clients representatives, subcontractors and stakeholders;
Contribute to and manage projects and new work.
If the candidate does not have demonstrable experience in all of the above, appointment at a Graduate Marine Ecologist level may be appropriate, where comprehensive training in the above will be provided to the successful candidate to ensure the skill base is developed over a period of time.

Qualifications and Experience

You will hold a degree or equivalent in a marine biology / marine technology / environmental science. Ideally this will be complimented with an MSc in environmental consultancy / related subject. Further to academic qualifications, it is essential that you have demonstrable experience in environmental consultancy with a similar role, fulfilling comparable duties and responsibilities as discussed above.
