Brown and May Marine Ltd. are looking to recruit a Marine Environmental Consultant. The successful candidate will join a team expanding to meet an increasing workload both from existing and new clients in the renewable, oil and gas and subsea cable industries.

The role will involve office based tasks including report writing, assessments, data analysis, research and field work and consultation. There may also a requirement for working away from the office in the UK, Europe as well as sea time on survey and fishing vessels.

Essential Requirements
Degree in Marine Science/Biology/Fisheries Science or related discipline
Minimum two-years relevant experience
Proven report writing experience
Familiarity with the EIA process
Background experience and/or knowledge of fisheries and fish ecology
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience in data analysis, interpretation and acquisition
Full driving license
Requirement for travel around UK & Europe
Communication and presentation skills
Teamwork, flexibility and effective time management
Contract and project management
Desirable Requirements
Knowledge and/or experience of using GIS software
Experience of surveys in the field including sea going surveys
Valid ENG1 medical
Offshore Safety Certificates
