GEOMAR are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate with clearly demonstrated expertise in marine natural product chemistry to join their Research Unit. The holder of this post will perform a range of research tasks including extraction, chemical profiling and dereplication of extracts (by mainly LC-MS), followed by activity-guided isolation and structure elucidation of their bioactive molecules by modern analytical methods. To be eligible, candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in marine natural products chemistry, fluency in spoken and written English and excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent project and laboratory management skills in multiple tasks.
