Registration for the 49th Annual Benthic Ecology Meeting (BEM2020) is now open!
The meeting will be held 7-11 April 2020 at the Hotel Ballast in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA, hosted by the faculty and staff at UNC Wilmington.
The BEM is the largest, student-oriented marine biology and ecology annual scientific meeting in Eastern North America. Past meetings held in Wilmington (BEM2000 and BEM2010) had over 750 participants from around the world. Registration fees are much lower than most scientific conferences in order to promote student involvement.
International participants are particularly encouraged to attend!!
This year there are 26 session topics to choose from, including Climate Change, Coral Reef Ecology, Molecular Ecology and Evolution, Seagrass and Saltmarsh Ecology, and Trophic Relationships and Resilience.
REGISTER EARLY!  Discounted hotel rooms are limited. Registration fees increase $100 on 3 Feb, and Abstract submission ends 14 Feb.
