On 1 June, the University of Bergen presents two Ocean Decade Laboratories as part of our contribution to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. Both labs are virtual, free, and open to all interested parties.

The first lab deals with the impact of small fish to secure sustainability and improve nutrition in Ghana, including comparisons with Peru to take an intercontinental view in the future regulation of small fish resources.

The second lab looks at the science we need for the fjords we want, comparing fjord research from three continents. Lab conveners are research assistant Christiana Naana Sam and postdoctoral fellow Natalya Gallo, both of whom are Early Career Ocean Professionals.
