The European Parliament’s Panel (EP) for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA) Forum for Academic Freedom, launched in 2022, is fostering an intense and open dialogue with the academic community across the Union for strengthening the protection of academic freedom as a European fundamental right.
This event will bring together politicians, experts and academia to debate how the protection and promotion of academic freedom can be strengthened in the Union. Its conclusions will contribute to the European debate on the protection of the rule of law, and the dialogue is a crucial driving force behind the Parliament’s Legislative Own Initiative Report on the Freedom of Scientific Research in Europe.
