The University of Algarve, the Centre for Marine and Environmental Research and Ambipar Response are pleased to invite you for the online workshop: Incident Command System, which will take place 29th – 30th October 2020, from 16:00 to 18:00 (Lisbon time, GMT+0).

This workshop is jointly hosted by the project CIU3A (University Innovation Centre Andaluzia, Alentejo and Algarve) and the company Ambipar Response (United Kingdom), which has more than seventy years of experience in emergency management preparedness and response spectrum at a strategic, tactical, and operational level, responding to major hazard events such as oil spills and chemical incidents.

The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized, all-risk incident management concept, recognized worldwide as the international model to manage emergency situations. The course is of an in-class nature with interactive sessions that assist in the learning process. It gives an overview of the incident management process, highlighting how ICS principles can be applied in incidents. The course emphasize the benefits of following a recognised process when managing a major incident.

This workshop will be held in English, it is free and limited for 30 participants.
