On Thursday 15 September 2022, EMB will host its 23rd Third Thursday Science webinar featuring Dr Jane Collins who will speak about Unlocking Marine Genetic Resources: Streamlining the Legal, Policy and Business Aspects of the Marine Biodiscovery Pipeline.
In this talk, Dr Collins will introduce the marine biodiscovery pipeline and the links to the ongoing Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) negotiations. This talk links to the recommendations made in the SOPHIE project Strategic Research Agenda for Oceans and Human Health, and EMB’s Position Paper 15 on Marine Biotechnology.
