Sally Ranney is first and foremost a passionate activist for wildlife protection and biodiversity preservation, as well as an ardent climate change solutions advocate.

Sally is President and Co-founder of Global Choices.  This organization recognizes the dramatic loss of Arctic sea ice and is calling for the immediate protection of the Central Arctic Ocean (CAO) Ice Shield and its long-term management as a non-jurisdictional Global Commons.  They propose a 10-year moratorium to protect the Central Arctic Ocean Ice Shield from any activity that would further disturb the fragile Arctic sea ice and accelerate melting.

Ranney has worked with three U.S. Presidents, including her appointment by President Reagan to his Commission on American Outdoors. Sally is currently the President and Co-founder of American Renewable Energy Institute (AREI) and the AREDAY Summit. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), the Bonobo Conservation Initiative (BCI), the Aspen Brain Institute (ABI), the Climate Accountability Institute (CAI) and Colorado Headwaters (CH). She is a Senior Advisor to the One Humanity Institute (Poland) and is CEO of Stillwater Preservation, LLC.

Recognitions include the Horace Albright Award, the International Conservation Award, Earth Guardians’ Earth Stewardship Award, and the Children’s Environmental Literacy Foundation (CELF) Lifetime Achievement Award.  She was also recently named one of thirty-five women to be included in the International Women in Wildlife.

DIVE IN with Liz and Sylvia is a casual, free-flowing, and educational conversation and encourages ocean and nature enthusiasts of all ages to join. Sylvia, Liz, and Sally will take questions via Q & A text and voice call-in from the attendees. Get your questions ready!
