Applications are invited for a 2-year graduate research assistant at the Master’s level beginning Fall 2017 in the Earth System Science (ESS) program of the Department of Atmospheric Science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) supporting the NASA MSFC research program in LCLUC. The selected applicant will work on a project related to remote sensing of land use/cover changes focusing on South/Southeast Asian countries. The 2-year position will be funded to pursue a Master of Science degree in the ESS. Interested applicants can contact Dr. Robert Griffin, robert.griffin@nsstc.uah.edu.
Requirements:
The potential candidate is expected to have background training in remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), spatial geography, ecology, atmospheric science or other related disciplines. S/he must have strong written and oral communication skills in English. Programming experience is strongly desired, such as Python, R, or MATLAB (but not mandatory).
