The research unit in GEOMAR Kiel are seeking an experienced candidate with demonstrated expertise in marine natural product chemistry/biotechnology and project management to carry out project management and research tasks in two European blue biotechnology projects funded by INTERREG BSR (Baltic Blue Biotechnology Alliance) and Horizon2020 (BLUE&GREEN). The holder of this post will perform a range of chemical and biotechnological research tasks, including generation and dereplication of marine extracts, purification and structure elucidation of natural products, process development and other biotechnological applications. Additional duties comprise project management of the EU funded projects, including establishment of a biomaterial info point in the Baltic Sea region, scientific partner management, involvement in surveys and database development/management and reporting.
