The 2-year Postdoc position is in the framework of the Priority Program ‘Antarctic research with comparative investigations in Arctic ice areas’ funded by the German Science Foundation. An ocean biogeochemical model will be further developed (inclusion of Si-Isotopes) and applied to different climate/ocean circulation regimes to investigate changes in water mass structure and nutrient utilisation.
Requirements: PhD degree in oceanography, physics, geosciences or a related field; strong experience in marine biogeochemistry, development and application of numerical models; excellent oral and written communication skills in English; interest and ability to work independently but team-oriented in a young, international research group.
