The Institute of Marine Research, Norway has available a 2 year position (with an option for extension); a postdoctoral related to studies of variations, drivers, and trends of ocean acidification and carbon chemistry in Norwegian waters and in the Arctic Ocean. The position is placed in the research group Oceanography and Climate. The position will be located in Tromsø.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic group of scientists and technicians focusing on marine chemistry and ocean acidification monitoring. The candidate is expected to contribute mainly with data collection, interpretation, reporting and publication of data from ocean acidification monitoring. The candidate must also participate in cruises and analyze samples in the laboratory for carbonate chemistry at IMR. The group has large international and national networks that the candidate is expected to collaborate with and further develop.
