Applications are being accepted for a Research Associate (Postdoctoral) position at Oregon State University working with Dr. Michael Behrenfeld and in collaboration with Dr. Emmanuel Boss at the University of Maine.  The position is funded under the NASA Science of TERRA, AQUA, and SUOMI NPP Program.  The focus for this postdoctoral position is to improve understanding of global ocean phytoplankton through the merger of active and passive satellite remote sensing data.  Activities will include, but are not limited to, processing and analyzing global satellite data, spectral matching algorithm development, ecological analyses, and publication of results.  A position start date of summer 2018 or earlier is desired.  Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. degree by the agreed upon start date.  Desired areas of experience include satellite data analysis, proven ability to handle large datasets, applied mathematics, computer programming, bio-optics, algorithm development, and
