The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science Marine Biology and Ecology department is seeking a Research Associate for the Rescue A Reef Citizen Science Program. The employee will be required to plan and conduct Rescue A Reef expeditions and present educational materials and seminars to school groups/Citizen Science groups. The employee will also conduct field and nursery activities at the UM Acropora coral nurseries. Duties include assisting with coral monitoring and bleaching surveys, coral nursery maintenance and care, building coral nursery platforms, coral morphometric measurements, and coral transplanting and restoration activities. The employee will also assist with other projects, including SAV and fish surveys in Biscayne Bay and urban canals.

Qualifications: *Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science.

*Minimum one year of experience working in coral reef restoration and citizen science programs is required.

*The candidate must also have a current AAUS diving certification in addition to MOCC boating certification.
